THE PRIMARY MISSION OF THE E-3 TEAM IS TO PROMOTE DIVERSITY THROUGH EDUCATION, LEADERSHIP AND MEDIATION, RESULTING IN A HARMONIOUS WORKING ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL DENR EMPLOYEES.
THE VISION OF THE E-3 TEAM IS TO ENCOURAGE THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES TO ELEVATE IT'S EMPLOYEES TO A HIGHER LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE.
The duties of the Elevating Employees to Excellence (E-3) team include, but are not limited to:

- Monitoring training opportunities for all employee;
- Analyzing and periodically reporting trends in personnel actions, i.e., separations, promotions, harassment claims;
- Assessing the organizational climate and evaluating the resultant data;
- Creating effective ways of communicating information about the EEO program to employees and manager;
- Coordinating a communication link with the Quality Guidance Team, EEO staff, and employees on aspects of the EEO plan and program and the potential EEO problem areas in DENR through regular meetings ( at least every other month or once a month, if possible);
- Reviewing and analyzing the existing Equal Employment Opportunity plan;
- Reviewing statistical data on the representation of underutilized groups in affected occupational categories in the department workforce throughout the department;
- Identifying legal and moral issues that underlie EEO mandates that could have an adverse effect on DENR and drafting corrective or improvement strategies; and
- Assisting with locating recruitment sources, programs for career mobility, and specific activities designed to strength the EEO program;
- Recommending changes and updating managers on employees concerns and issues.
