Local District Information
The Division of Soil and Water Conservation provides administrative resources for sponsored activities and events of the NC Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts (NCASWCD). Events include conservation contests, speech, essay and poster contests, Spring and Fall area meetings and the Association’s Annual Meeting.
Area Coordinators play an important role in assisting District Staff. They plan and carry out sponsored events and are invaluable in prioritizing and targeting soil and water conservation problems in their districts. They help prepare Cost Share strategy plans and programs, seek outside funding sources and create outstanding educational outreach programs to include informing clients on watershed project implementation, soil surveys, wetlands activities and .0200 regulations.
