Raleigh-- The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources encourages the public to report any environmental disasters or emergencies by calling the appropriate regional office. The public should contact the office nearest them.

The public can contact the regional offices with environmental problems Monday through Friday during regular business hours.

If an emergency needs to be reported after business hours or on the weekends, the number to call is 1-800-858-0368. This number goes directly to the state’s Emergency Operations Center in Raleigh.
