MEDIA ADVISORY: Meeting Canceled On Proposed Best Management Practices For Hurricane-Impacted Animal Waste Systems

RALEIGH -- The Soil and Water Conservation Commission has canceled a telephone conference scheduled Friday, Oct. 29, at 2 p.m. to consider approving best management practices for animal waste management systems impacted by recent hurricanes.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources' emergency policy announced early this month remains in effect.

The Commission may consider the issue at a later date, which would be announced.
