RALEIGH -- The following is a list of North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources (NCDENR) agencies that are affected and/or will be directly related to clean-up efforts in the wake of Hurricane Bonnie. North Carolina Aquariums at Roanoke Island (Manteo), Pine Knoll Shores (Atlantic Beach) Fort Fisher (Wilmington) - Houses aquatic exhibits and animals - marine educational resource; assists in recovery of aquatic plants and animals that may be displaced after the storm. North Carolina Division of Forest Management - Assists with tree clearing from public roads and right of ways; assesses damage to forest resources and responds to fire danger in the aftermath of downed trees and other forest debris.
