Wetlands Public Hearing Cancelled on Goldsboro to Wilson Highway Project
RALEIGH - Due to inclement weather, tonight's scheduled public hearing in Goldsboro on wetlands impact issues for a proposed U.S. 117 highway project has been cancelled.
The Division of Water Quality will notify the public when an alternate hearing date has been selected. The hearing had been scheduled for tonight at 6 o'clock at Wayne County Community College.
When rescheduled, the hearing will focus on impacts to 42 acres of jurisdiction wetlands and 4,856 feet of streams in the Little River Watershed from the proposed U.S. 117 connector from Goldsboro to Wilson.
