Tyndall to Head Coastal Management's Morehead City Office
RALEIGH -- The N.C. Division of Coastal Management has named M. Ted Tyndall manager of its Morehead City District.
Tyndall, 43, has been a field representative for Coastal Management since 1992. As district manager, he will oversee the Division’s permitting, enforcement, land use planning and public access work in the Morehead City district, which includes Carteret, Craven and Pamlico counties, and a portion of Onslow County.
Tyndall replaces Charles Jones, who was promoted to assistant director for permitting and enforcement. Tyndall began his new duties Monday.
Tyndall has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from East Carolina University and is pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration. Before coming to work for Coastal Management, he worked for an environmental consulting firm, for CP&L’s environmental services section, for ECU’s Institute of Coastal Marine Resources; and at NC State’s School of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
